As the Electronic Entertainment Expo E3 2017 draws near, speculations about the big reveal of “Fallout 5” during the event have been rife on the Internet. The fifth installment in the series has been the subject of many discussions following Bethesda’s successful release of “Fallout 4.” The gaming studio after numerous speculations has been very cagey about the next title. However, they confirmed that there are a couple of major games in development this year and these two are not Elder Scrolls titles.

Latest speculations

One statement that sparked interest from the fans was the one posted on Instagram by Ryan Alosio.

He is the voice behind Deacon, which is a character in the previous game. The voice actor said that he is currently working on the upcoming game. Later, he claimed that his statement was just a character prank. His previous statement was later followed by speculations that Obsidian Entertainment is the developer of the next installment.

In January 2016, Game Designer and Writer Eric Fenstermaker was quoted saying that he would love to work on another “Fallout” game. While there is enthusiasm on the part of Fenstermaker, last November, during Reddit’s Ask Me Anything Obsidian Entertainment CEO Feargus Urquhart confirmed that they are not developing any game related to the title.

Developer

With the admission on the part of Obsidian, fans were quick to speculate that BattleCry Studios might be handling the development of “Fallout 5.” The studio is led by Rich Vogul, former executive producer of “Star Wars: The Old Republic.” In his LinkedIn profile, the Senior Embedded QA Analyst of the studio accidentally posted about it but the post was taken down.

In addition, the website and the Twitter account disappeared on the Internet as well.

The studio was reportedly working on “Battlecry” but it was canceled according to some claims. While the studio has not yet confirmed that it is working on a major Bethesda title, delaying their own title for a bigger one could be feasible.

There are also reports that Zenimax, BattleCry’s parent company has been hiring people. Allegedly, these newly hired will be working on an undisclosed triple A game. The title is believed to be released on PC and consoles. Their work involves level build-out and lighting, in-game models, asset, and textures creation.
