It's the first week of September, and PlayStation owners know what that means - It is time to download a few new PlayStation Plus games.

It is shaping up to be another strong month for the service, which even includes a proper AAA title for the PlayStation 4.

Let us see what is available to download.

PlayStation 4

"Infamous Second Son" is the biggest name on the list, arguably the best PlayStation 4 title the service has received since the launch of the console. A launch game for Sony's current generation device, this gorgeous action adventure game follows Delsin Rowe, a delinquent with conduit abilities.

The story is nothing to write home about, but Delsin's powers are flashy and a lot of fun to play around with. Players can decide whether they want Delsin to be a good or bad superhero, so there is a bit of control over the tone taken by the story.

"Strike Vector EX" is the other PlayStation 4 title available to download by subscribers. Players step into the cockpit of a vector, kind of a flying "Transformer," as they take part in space dogfights. It is a lot of fun, especially the multiplayer component, and deserves at least a quick try. It is a smaller scale game, and the single player campaign is borderline terrible, but it is wild and quick.

Side note, European players can download "Child of Light" instead of "Strike Vector EX."

PlayStation 3

Somewhat surprising, "Handball 16" is included in this month's PlayStation Plus.

Sports games are already quite a niche experience since even fans of the sport might not enjoy playing it on a screen. Compared to something like soccer or the NBA, handball has an even smaller audience.

More importantly, "Handball 16" received poor reviews across the board. At best, it was considered mediocre. Despite being presented as a full priced game, this plays and looks like a budget title.

The characters often share the same face, and the graphics are outdated for the PlayStation 3.

The other game is "Truck Racer," which is self-explanatory. It is by no means a terrible racing title and is one of a kind, but it obviously lacks the speed often associated with the genre. Still, it is worth a try.

PlayStation Vita

"Hatoful Boyfriend" is the true MVP for this month, a dating SIM about pigeons. Yes, you heard that right, it is a visual novel with pigeons. Honestly, do not knock it before trying it, as it is a pretty fantastic experience. It can also be played on the PlayStation 4.

"We Are Doomed" is a twin stick shooter and can also be played on the PlayStation 4.
